It's Here. Introducing the Resurfacing AHA Liquid
Today is the day.
After months of formulation, testing, and a week of conversations about skin science, keratinocytes, desmosome bonds, and what it actually means to exfoliate correctly for melanin-rich skin, the Resurfacing AHA Liquid is officially available.
We did not want to launch a product. We wanted to launch an education. And if you have been reading along this week, you already understand your skin better than most people ever will. Today, the product we have been teaching you about is finally in your hands.
What It Is
The Resurfacing AHA Liquid is a leave-on chemical exfoliant, formulated specifically for melanin-rich skin in the African climate, targeting resurfacing, clarity, and glow.
It is not a peel. It is not aggressive. It is controlled resurfacing, designed to work with your skin's own renewal biology, not against it.
150mL · Leave-On · PM Use · Fragrance-Free · Suitable for All Skin Types
What Is In It And Why
Every ingredient in this formula was chosen with intention. Here is the short version:
Mandelic Acid — the largest AHA at ~152 Daltons. The slowest penetration, the lowest irritation risk, and the only AHA with clinical evidence of safety and efficacy across all Fitzpatrick skin types, including III–VI, without triggering post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. It is also antibacterial, making it effective for acne-prone melanin-rich skin.
Lactic Acid — the only AHA that exfoliates and draws moisture into the skin at the same time. A natural component of the skin's own moisturising system. Over consistent use, it inhibits tyrosinase, gradually slowing melanin overproduction. It also supports ceramide production, meaning it repairs the barrier as it resurfaces.
AHA Fruit Acid Complex — five botanical sources: bilberry, sugar cane, sweet orange, lemon, and sugar maple. Together, they deliver lactic, glycolic, citric, malic, and tartaric acids at varied molecular weights. Layered, natural exfoliation — gentler and more complete than a single synthetic acid.
CalmRestore Complex™ — Centella Asiatica, Allantoin, and Panthenol. Built directly into the formula so that as the acids resurface, the complex soothes inflammation, rehydrates, and accelerates barrier repair, all at the same time.
pH 3.5–4.0 — calibrated to the precise zone where AHAs are active. Not so high that they go inactive. Not so low that they cause harm. The number that makes everything work.
Why We Made It
We are a science-led skincare brand in Ghana. And for a long time, the products available to us in our pharmacies, in our beauty aisles, on the shelves marketed to us, were not made with our skin in mind.
The research behind most acid exfoliants was not conducted on our skin types. The pH levels were not calibrated with our sensitivity to inflammation in mind. The advice to use glycolic acid and to exfoliate as intensely as your skin can handle was not written for people whose melanosomes respond to irritation by producing more melanin.
The Resurfacing AHA Liquid is our answer to that gap. Not an adaptation of a product designed for someone else. A formula built from the ground up, with melanin-rich skin in the African climate as the starting point, not an afterthought.
This is skincare in Ghana, made by people who understand what it actually needs.
How to Use It
Evening only. Start 1–2 times per week and build gradually.
- Cleanse — gentle, non-stripping
- Apply the Resurfacing AHA Liquid to clean, dry skin — leave on, do not rinse
- Moisturise immediately after
Every morning without exception: SPF 30 or higher.
AHAs increase photosensitivity. In the Ghanaian climate, with our year-round UV intensity, this step is non-negotiable. It protects your results.
Do not combine with retinol, Vitamin C, other acids, or physical scrubs on the same night.
Who It Is For
Anyone dealing with uneven texture, dullness, congestion, post-breakout marks, or hyperpigmentation. Melanin-rich skin types across all Fitzpatrick levels. Sensitive skin. Dry skin. First-time acid users. Anyone who has tried acids before and had a bad experience ,this was made with you specifically in mind.
This is not just a product launch. It is the beginning of a different kind of skincare conversation, one that starts with science, centres melanin-rich skin, and refuses to treat our community as an afterthought.
Thank you for being here for it.
